Tax Assist Accountants – Success Story

Vicky Crosby, a fellow of the Institute of Certified Accountants (FCCA), was working in Dublin as a finance director in an online advertising agency before making the move to her native Tarmonbarry in Co. Roscommon. While on maternity leave in early 2011, she decided to look at options for setting up her own business and settled on purchasing a TaxAssist franchise in the Longford/Westmeath area. Business was so successful that she then set about acquiring a second franchise in the Roscommon/South Leitrim area.

She was the first TaxAssist franchisee in Ireland to secure two areas. Vicky’s investment in a full fit-out of the Roscommon office together with capital expenditure put a strain on her cash flow. Her bank was unable to extend the additional working capital she required, so she approached Local Enterprise Office Roscommon to find out more about microfinance. They were able to advise her on the application process for a loan from Microfinance Ireland. Vicky was successful in securing the loan she needed and today runs two very successful and busy offices.

“The process is stringent but if you have all your paperwork in order it helps get a speedier decision. I am very grateful for Microfinance Ireland’s assistance and confidence in me and my business”
